What is PBI® Peak5®?
We have been working for several years to develop a new outer shell fabric incorporating PBI® fibres. PBI® Products have been recognised for manufacturing the leading high-performance protective fire-resistant fibre, which has been on the market for almost 40 years.
It was our goal to develop a fabric which would be lighter in weight and more open-weaved than other solutions currently on the market. This ambition was directly informed by investigating what end users were demanding from the market: lightweight fabrics with heavyweight properties.
This has lead us to today, where we are proud to launch PBI® Peak5®. PBI® Peak5® was developed as a direct response to the growing need in the fire services market for outer shell fabrics that are lighter weight without compromising on protective qualities.

What are the benefits of PBI® Peak5®?
Introducing our brand new outer shell PBI® Peak5®- It has the highest percentage of PBI® fibre content than any other product currently on the market, providing the wearer with leading, premium thermal protection.
- It has been strengthened by Enforce® technology. This keeps the fabric both durable and lightweight — a vast improvement from previous solutions which were bulky and uncomfortable for the wearer.
- It features a breathable Peak Twill construction, which provides the wearer with a greater range of motion and increased levels of comfort on the job.
- It is reinforced with Kevlar® filament, to keep it strong and lessen wear-and-tear throughout regular usage.
- It is an open weave fibre, which helps keep both heat and moisture out. This means that the chance of heatstress is lowered, whilst also keeping the wearer comfortable for longer.
- Thanks to its lighter weight, PBI® Peak5® offers the wearer an increased range of motion. Heavier fabric solutions require greater energy exertion from the wearer in order to move around; but with PBI® Peak5®, the wearer can focus that energy on their work on the field.
- PBI® Peak5® is the first global outer shell . It has been certified to multiple global standards, making it available for an international market.
