XLANCE® stretch fiber; provides long-lasting stretch fabrics for workwear

Who doesn’t like stretch in their clothing? Since stretch has been introduced into textiles for clothing, people don’t want to go without it. From consumer to professional wear, stretch is an essential fiber ingredient to experience a great level of comfort. In this blog, we tell you more about the long-lasting stretch fiber XLANCE® and how its characteristics make it highly suitable for your next workwear.

How the XLANCE® fiber moves you in your daily and workwear clothing

XLANCE® fiber is often used in swimwear, shirting, and sportswear to provide long-lasting performance fit by being sweat-resistant, UV-resistant, and chlorine-resistant. Due to the dosed elasticity, the fiber enhances all your movements.

The benefit of stretch fiber for workwear is that it brings long-lasting comfort and empowers movement. It is ideal for working environments where you need to move often or move into difficult positions. Besides providing a high level of movement and comfort, workwear garments made with XLANCE® fiber content are easy to wash at industrial laundries, as the fiber is extremely resistant to industrial washing and drying processes. It offers consistent recovery power after 50 industrial laundry cycles at 75°C and 115°C tunnel drying, ensuring that durability is guaranteed as with non-stretch alternatives.

How it works in workwear

What makes the XLANCE® fiber unique; stretching sustainability

The stretch fiber was developed with the throwaway economy in mind, providing a solution that benefits the creation of high-quality and durable elastic garments.

The XLANCE® fiber can be seen as a better and more sustainable alternative to spandex (TPU). First of all, XLANCE® has greater resistance to high temperatures than spandex fibers. This allows XLANCE® to be processed by industrial laundries, therefore providing the durability you are used to.

Secondly, XLANCE® is produced through a clean melt spinning process, different from the dry-spinning (chemical) one of spandex that involves the use of dangerous solvents like DMAC or DMF.
